Building Design and Permit Plans in Fullerton

Fullerton’s ready-to-issue notice comes with a condition: every hold has to clear. Fire flow, civil, soils and water each hold a permit on their own, and a project that has approved building plans can still sit. Our Fullerton work is additions, a remodel with a supplemental revision, and a new ADU on a lot that needed a retaining wall.

Our Work in Fullerton

An addition and remodel reached approved plans with the City’s notice that all holds must clear; we handled the fire-flow request, and the owner’s later supplemental revision is in plan check as of October 21, 2026 with revised plan and structural sheets. A new detached ADU from 2023 to 2025 ran through soils and grading corrections and a retaining wall design, where the civil and structural sets had each drawn the wall; we removed the duplicate from the structural set so the City reviewed one wall.

How review works in Fullerton

Planning and Building review through the City’s permit system; Public Works and civil reviewers and the water and fire-flow staff address site and service requirements.

What comes up most: clearing every hold, and keeping the soils, grading and retaining wall documents consistent with the plan set.
